Honda Motorcycles and Scooter India, Tapukera invited us to engage with their new recruits in a meaningful way, in an exercise where they learn and connect with each other. The mandate- ‘We don’t want to have a serious quiz to identify the sharpest guy, we know all these trainees are smart. We want them to enjoy and learn together as a team’. After much brainstorming and deliberation we decided to..drumroll..do a quiz. Yes, but not in the usual way. Keeping in mind the thought of ‘learning and enjoying’ we worked around the creating an afternoon full of energy and enthusiasm where the participation wasn’t restricted to just the highest scoring so-and-so teams but to everyone. Including the HMSI organisers and the chiefs giving away the prizes.
Having said all of the above, as is the protocol in a quiz, there were winners and there were others. However, it wasn’t an easy ride for the winners as they had to sweat it out till the last question. Fittingly, in a country whose economy runs on jugaadbazi, the last answer – jugaad, ensured that the safety first approach adopted by the winners helped them nudge the challengers just when it mattered.
Few questions from the quiz-
