Ken Robinson in this TED talk says that we think and express information in all ways that we perceive it- visual, sound, touch, taste and smell.
When we took up quizzing as a profession in 2010, it was with the intention of not just doing an activity we enjoyed, but also to take the essence of quizzing (to ask, to explore, to experiment and to seek) to people who perceive it as a niche activity.
Quizzing is a lot more than the act of merely asking questions which have specific answers. It teaches you that information is like a mould of clay which can be shaped into a countless different things: be it a toy, a pot, a musical instrument or even a house. It gives you the courage to trust your instincts. It introduces you to the art of story telling, helps you simplify things and discover newer things everyday.
We believe that every new idea is an evolution, through the process of variation and selection, of the previous one. But
We started out with this very thought in mind. And Fun-Labs is an initiative in that direction. Over the next 3 days, starting today, we are conducting a workshop ‘Fun Labs 1.0’ at Mayo College Girls School, Ajmer. The purpose of this workshop is to create magic with information around you, to encourage the art of questioning and to explore & seek answers. We’ll be leveraging the power of new media to enhance the experience of the students and also to share it with all of you. We want you to be part of this journey, MOTHER PROMISE, and would love to hear your thoughts and suggestions. Watch this space. More is to come. In the meanwhile, these are teaser posters we used during the week leading upto ‘Fun Labs 1.0’. Together, the images make up X. Can you figure it out?
